On Saturday 28th June, our Women of Faith group came together for a wonderful afternoon of connection and community at the Wythenshawe Park cycling track.
Running from 12:30 to 3:30pm, the event brought together women of different backgrounds and faiths to enjoy some time outdoors in the sunshine. While not everyone was a confident cyclist, many were delighted to use the 3-wheeled cycles, allowing everyone to participate and move at their own pace.
After the cycling, the group shared a picnic where each attendee brought a homemade dish. This informal gathering led to rich conversations, from the sharing of recipes to discussions about different faiths and traditions. It was a relaxed, inclusive space where everyone felt welcomed and valued.
The day had a noticeably positive impact on everyone’s mental wellbeing. Being outside, engaging in gentle physical activity, and connecting with others in an open and supportive environment helped lift spirits and strengthen bonds within the group.
The success of the event has left everyone looking forward to the next Women’s event. If you’re interested in meeting new people, learning about different cultures and faiths, or simply enjoying a friendly afternoon out, we’d love to welcome you next time!
