Join us for an engaging tour exploring the Bahá’í Faith on Tuesday 14th April, 10am-12pm hosted at the Quaker’s Friends Meeting House.
This will be a welcoming and informal event with an introduction into the origins and core teachings of a world religion with its origin in Persia in 1844. The core beliefs centre on the oneness of God, oneness of religion and the oneness of humanity. Through a thoughtful presentation including visual and audio aids, you will gain insight into how these principles are applied in everyday life and communities around the world.
A short quote from the Baha’i Writings: O ye children of men! The fundamental purpose animating the Faith of God and His Religion is to safeguard the interests and promote the unity of the human race, and to foster the spirit of love and fellowship amongst men… Bahá’u’lláh
Whether you are curious about different beliefs or simply interested in meaningful conversations, this session offers a relaxed space to learn and reflect. The tour will include an open Q&A, giving you the chance to ask questions, share perspectives, and explore ideas in a respectful and inclusive environment. No prior knowledge is needed, just an interest in understanding more about the world and the people in it.
We will be hosted by Grange Williams, a Molecular Biologist who became Baha’i as an undergraduate (45 years ago) and is a Trustee at Faith Network for Manchester and Ahmad Vegah, an IT Consultant who was brought up in a Cameroonian Baha’i Family and is a member of the Baha’i Spiritual Assembly of Manchester.
Light refreshments will be provided.
